Long time no see...

Been meaning to stop by for many, many months...if not longer.  Time flies...

Just wanted thank my followers and to let you guys to know I'm still alive...not exactly kicking, but hanging in there and may be finally close to figuring out why I've been so sick for so long.  Right now I'm primarily using my 'energy' to fight this mitochondrial disease I've been dealing with for years...but promise to stop by more often in the future.

I have tried to work on new pieces from time to time, and thought I'd post this one as a thank you for checking out my work.  Hope you're all doing well!

Jesse ("Stare into my abs...") is a piece I did back in 2008...can't believe I've never posted him here (he was over on MySpace), but after dusting him off and polishing him up a bit, here he is for your viewing pleasure.

Speaking of Myspace, is it just me, or has it been a ghost town over there for the last 18 months or so? Then again, who am I to speak...it's been kind of a ghost town HERE too. :)

Derek, "New & Improved"...

This is a piece I did way back in 2006 in kind of a watercolor style, but just recently dragged out of the closet dusted off and polished up a bit. I'm not sure exactly what it was, but there was always something that just didn't seem right about it before...so I went back and added some shadows, highlights and reflected light, and also worked on the hair a face a little bit more.

No, I'm not dead. :)

Been dealing with eye problems, and more recently dental issues, but am still working when I can and will get through this okay...just can't believe it's been six weeks since I last posted. Time flies so fast lately.

I also just realized I haven't posted anything on the "Raw" blog at all this year. I've been working on a couple of pieces for "Raw" that should be ready soon, so please check it out in the next couple of weeks or so...hopefully sooner. Perhaps I can post a preview in the next few days...

From the Vault: ALEXANDRO...

The other day I was trying to figure out what to put up for auction, and came across poor lil' Alexandro, a piece I did waaaaay back in 2006, yet hadn't listed in over 2 years, and had yet to post here.

So...here he is, dusted off and polished up a little, and up for auction here along with other works you can check out.

I have some other pieces that I've yet to post on the blog, so will be reviewing them and posting more in the future. There are some however -- some of my very early work -- that is just too embarrassing crude -- so it may never see the light of day again.

But ya never know...

There will also be an ‘adult’ version (this is the PG-13...or PG-17?) coming either the end of this month, or early December, plus another piece I’m working on featuring Jeremy and his identical twin, who has yet to be given a name. Will have to come up with that soon, before the neighbors find out!

Matthew...

In many places of the world the days are getting longer, and summer is just a couple of months away. Unfortunately, that's not the case here in the Emerald City, as the days are getting shorter (and wetter!).

All the more reason to celebrate the sunny days of summer, to hold onto the memories that will help get us through the coming winter months.

Matthew is something else you might want to hold onto. (That was even more awkward than my segue last month, but I'm stickin' with it for now!) A good friend commented on how he liked how I had carried forward the motif of the green foliage into the design of the tattoo. I can see that now, but I must admit it was a complete accident. Still, it's always fascinating to hear how others interpret a piece of art.
